Backtracking a bit: Granny’s Last Day

Posted by Liz on Friday Jan 8, 2010 Under Baby, Family

I just love some of these pictures of my mom with Connor, so I wanted them on the blog.  I love to post pictures, Im not so good with the writing thing.  My mom’s visit was so nice, and it was sad to see her go.  We look forward to the other set of Grandparents to arrive next week and for Connor to be Blessed at church by his Dad.  The start of this year has for sure been all about family, and it will be sad when things start slowing down a bit.

When she left, it really started to sink in that we were really raising a child. While she was here, we split the night into three shifts: 9-12, 12-3, and 3-6. Granny would take the 9-12 shift and we would gain a few hours of precious, much needed sleep. After her departure, we suddenly realized we had to cover EVERY shift! I think we have been handling things pretty well, but those few hours at the beginning of the night were really nice.
