The Vilosher

While in fifth grade, I created a character I could really relate to. His name is The Vilosher. He was a super-violent teen whose family was murdered by corrupt mob men and police. With no one to trust he turned to his scientist friend to create an arsenal of weaponry to take on the people who murdered his family.

I wish I still had the short stories I wrote about him. Actually, there was only one. It had chapters. It was to be my capstone project for the fifth grade. I don’t remember the grade I received. In fact, I though I had lost all traces of The Vilosher, but I found this in my sketch book I used two decades ago. I think there is a gem here that may turn into the next big thing. Check out his arsenal after the jump.

There are a few things about this I think are fantastic. First, his hair was too spikey, so I had to erase it. I guess I thought it looked a bit too much like Guile from Street Fighter II. Second, his bloody sword. Who doesn’t need a bloody sword. Here is the arsenal:
7 Ninja Stars

2 Sawed-off, pump action mini-shot gus

1 Sniper Rifle

3 Sais

2 Hand guns

8 Switch Blades (for throwing, I think)

2 Katanas

10 Throwing Blades

4 Um… brass knuckles? Maybe Chinese Finger Traps? I dunno.

2 Nunchucks

Clothing:

Red Bandana

Shoulder Pads

Fingerless Gloves

Ragged Red Shirt

Black (very tight) shorts

Nike High-Tops

My Influences: I wanted a character that was more violent than the Punisher and as rugged as Wolverine. The only logical thing to me that was worse than mere punishment, was Violence. So I took the “-isher” from Punisher and added it to violence. Vilosher. One who uses intense violence to punish and exact vengeance. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles were in there too. Also, Back to the Future’s Doc Brown.

This story, along with my speech as a freshman, should have put me on so many watch lists, I should have been forced into homeschool. I wish I could write my English teacher from back in the day and ask her what on Earth she thought of this. Do you even bother reading it as a teacher?

Maybe some day, I can reach inside to my inner fifth grader and recreate his story.
