We have only known the Mancusos for a year in a half. They are such great people, and we are so glad to know them. Brian has introduced the world of hunting to Todd. And last year the Mancusos put on a Feast of the 7 Beasts for all their friends because they had so much left over meet. Brian is Italian, and so they played off the Feast of the 7 Fish that they do right before Christmas. Mandee did an AWESOME job last year, and I was so amazed she did it all by herself. This year she is PREGNANT!!!!!! Best celebration of the year!!! She and Brian are going to be the most super duper awesome parents, this is one lucky little person! I so wanted to do feast of the beast again, but could not ask her to do it alone. So we co hosted, and we didn’t limit ourselves to only 7 beasts. So know it is proudly called, “Feast of the Beast” and is an annual thing the night before New Years Eve.Read More
Being that Connor is the only child, everything he does is normal to me. I get a shock sometimes when I’m out with girlfriends and their children, and they make comments. One very frequent comment is, “wow, is that okay he just stuffed that whole thing in his mouth?” I have also gotten lectured by a client on the proper way to feed my child grapes. My response to all of these are the same, “He is a good chewer.” I don’t know what else to say. He hasn’t choked, I’m always right there, and if he doesn’t get a handful at a time, he throws a fit.
We finally got around to coloring Easter Egg’s today, while Todd spent his Easter sanding the hallway upstairs! Shout out to Todd, THANKS! We colored only four (sorry 5th member of Yo Gabba Gabba for not making the cut). Connor actually of course helped by watching me tease him with excitement and not being aloud to touch ANYTHING. We will see how next year goes….
Here are some pics of the Carrick Halloween Parade and Costume Contest. Connor had no interest in competing in the contest and ate his badge. Oh, well. Also, everyone thought he was a teddy bear. It’s all good. We had fun. Unfortunately, Liz had to work that day and was unable to make it to the parade.
We put up our Halloween decorations for the year. Funny how the only time we decorate our house is for Halloween. We need to expand our horizons and make some decorations for other holidays like… Boxing Day.
Connor got really excited about the decorations and insisted we take some pictures of him with them. So… after the jump you can find a bunch of pics.
After his sixth-month check-up, we have some stats about the little kid:
Length: 28.5 inches
Weight: 19 lbs 11 oz
Head Circumference: 46 cm (18.1 inches)
IQ: 193 (He’s a Mensa Baby!)
It’s so much fun to see him grow up, and it is crazy how fast it goes. Six moths ago he barely fit in the little blue tub, and now we’re thinking he’s too big for it. I think my favorite thing about him is when he giggles.
You might as well compare him to his first bath time picture from six months ago after the jump here.
All right! After a good day’s labor, Mega Man finally hangs on our walls! He is in the Baby’s Room guarding those around him. I woke up the other morning, and was thinking about the cut-out of the Duck Hunt Dog. The nice thing about video game sprites is each pixel can be very easy to translate to recreate on any grid. So I decided to make one of my own. We already have a Duck Hunt light switch, and Mario Decals everywhere else, so we wanted something other than Mario. Mega-Man it is.
